Shamila Nakanjako
Lives in: Masaka

Shamila is 16 and in her first year of secondary school. She is one of ten children. Her father died of illness when Shamila was five. The two youngest children, Shamila and her little brother, stay with their mother. The others are living with their grandmother. Neither of the women is skilled and it is difficult for them to provide for the children. Shamila is able to continue with her education because of sponsorship. She likes school and her favorite subject is math. She would like to become a nurse one day.
